The INDIEana Handicraft Exchange is a contemporary craft fair that consciously celebrates modern handmade goods, the relationship between creator and consumer, and local, alternative economies. The IHE has become a notable stop on the Midwest indie craft fair circuit, which includes events such as the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago, IL, Crafty Supermarket in Cincinnati, OH, Craftin Outlaws in Columbus, OH, Art vs. Craft (now defunct) in Milwaukee, WI and the Detroit Urban Craft Fair in Detroit, MI, among many others. The IHE began in 2007 as a way to highlight local crafters and artisans as well as to expose Indianapolis to some of the best vendors on the national indie craft fair map.

Our annual summer show will be held in 2020 on the third Saturday of June, once again at the Harrison Center for the Arts, in conjunction with their Independent Music + Art Festival. The application to be considered as a vendor for the June 20 event will be live on EventsLocal through Saturday, March 14 at midnight. Before applying, please be sure to read through our FAQ for the complete details of the event. Only the $25 application fee is due upon submission, and if accepted into the juried event, you will be invoiced in late March for the remaining booth fee and any table and chair rentals you selected. Please do not attempt to pay the full booth fee ahead of time.
