Preparations are underway for the 5th annual Mayberry in the Midwest Festival. Make plans now to take a step back in time and join us for this central Indiana event that takes place each year on the Historic Downtown Danville Courthouse Square the third weekend in May. The family friendly event is based on episodes of The Andy Griffith Show.

Throughout the weekend kids can play at Opie's World Free Kids Zone on Jefferson Street, catch the Tribute Artists perform on stage, and you may even get lucky enough to find actress Maggie Peterson who played Charlene Darling, Andy Griffith's daughter, Dixie Griffith, George Lindsey Jr. and Ronnie Schell, who played Duke Slater on Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. and Margaret Kerry who played Bess Muggins and Helen Scobey, also the original model for Tinker Bell. All will be in attendance to meet fans. The festival has plenty of food and merchandise vendors lining Washington Street, historic tractors take over Tractor Town, and demonstrations tents will be held at the Hendricks County Historical Museum.
