29th Annual Fishers Freedom Festival
June 24-25, 2017 Roy Holland Memorial Park
Presented by Freedom Mortgage

Newcomers to the Fishers area might ask, What is the Fishers Freedom Festival? But those of you who have attended might agree that it is as close to Uncle Sam and homemade apple pie as you can get.

The Fishers Freedom Festival offers multiple activities, events and food for all ages. Held at the Roy Holland Park (1 Park Drive) just off Holland Drive & Ellipse Parkway in Fishers, this free event offers fine arts & crafts, food & business vendors, live music, 5K event, childrens tent, parades, street dance, fireworks and much more. We entertain over 50,000 attendees from all over the U.S. each year.

The festival occurs annually on the last full Saturday and Sunday in June. It kicks off on Saturday morning with the 5K Event. The public may park at Roy Holland Park for $5.00 per vehicle. Free parking is available at the Fishers City Hall, marked parking areas around the city hall and off local strees and the north lot at the Alhuda Foundation.

Even though event admission is no charge, the Festival encourages participants to donate canned foods, baby food, nonperishable goods, disposable diapers, cleaning supplies, school supplies and/or toiletries, new toys, games, books and puzzles. Items will go to local pantries that service Fishers as well as the Festivals Roy G. Holland Backpacks for Kids program.

In 1989 the founders of the Fishers Parade and Festival decided to have a community gathering to celebrate Independence Day. With the help of a handful of volunteers, the event that originated as a one-day community picnic, parade, with a few games for the children exploded into a two-day event. With overwhelming participation by the public, this event continues to grow each year.

The Festival is financially supported 100% by fund-raising events, sponsorships, booth space rentals, grants and contributions from area businesses and residents. The Festival is a 501(c) (3) tax deductible, volunteer organization and is independent from the City of Fishers and the Fishers Chamber of Commerce. A budget of $390,000 was established for the 29th annual event. The Mayor and the Fishers City Council are strong supporters of the Festival and provides funding to the Festival as well as the necessary manpower from the police, fire, parks, maintenance and public works. With their support we are able to keep our event safe and successful.

Donations are always welcome and can be mailed to: Fishers Freedom Festival, P.O. Box 930, Fishers, IN 46038 or online at www.********.***.
