Description: | From Wolf Lake Onion Days Festival Website: According to notations on archival photographs the first Onion Days festival was celebrated back in 1906 here in Wolf Lake Noble Countys oldest town. The annual celebration ended in 1918 but with the help of some Wolf Lake citizens it was rediscovered back in 1972. That first year the festival was a one day block party without a parade just the town folks having a get together celebrating our towns history as the Onion Capital of the world back in the day. To this day the festival is planned and run by a festival committee made up of folks from the area who grew up with Onion Days and who love promoting the history of this town that we call home.
