Jeffersonville Steamboat Days is a family focused festival that combines art, music, food and activities for all ages. 2016 Steamboat Days will feature many art related activities including a juried artisan village, a live sand sculpting demonstration, a chalk walk for all and the Bicentennial Puppet Extravaganza titled: Pioneering Spirits. The festival will also feature a balloon glimmer, live entertainment, a wine tasting event, farm-to-table dinner, the greatest little boat race, Victorian Games and a fabulous parade!

The Steamboat Days Festival began in 1973 as a fundrasier after a fire devestated the Howard Steamboat Museum. The festival, generally held in October, was an annual event that residents looked forward to until its impressive 26-year run ended in 1999. In 2014, after years and many requests from local residents to bring the festival back, it returned with a renewed focus on the arts, entertainment and a committment to family friendliness.
