Description: | From New Beginnings Celebration Website: Since 1998, Lyles Station, Indiana has been the setting for the Lyles Station New Beginnings Celebration, held each Labor Day weekend on the grounds of the Lyles Station Historic School & Museum. This festival is a celebration of Indiana's last remaining African-American settlement and Historic Landmark. The New Beginnings Celebration presents a full day of activities, including: The Day begins with a 5K Walk/Run or Stroll at 9 a.m and continues at 11:00 a.m with

The festival is renowned for its food, featuring barbecued meats prepared on-site by the men of Lyles Station.
The New Beginnings Celebration serves to raise awareness of the Lyles Station community as well as raise funds for support of Lyles Station Historic School and Museum.
