Description:

From Sheridan BlueGrass Fever Website:

Music, it is said in our old town chronicles, always was streaming from that hill.

Lore tells us that abolitionist George Boxley, who had built his rustic log cabin in 1828 atop a deep green knoll, played his cherished mandolin there. Heritage defines us... and what we do today in Sheridan, Indiana, in this countryside of Indiana's Hamilton County.

Sheridan BlueGrass Fever, set in mid-July each year, naturally brings together the spirit of the bluegrass family--echoing sounds of Americana across the meadow with the power of the banjo, the taunting fiddle, that silver-stringed lilt of mandolins and enchanting guitars. Bluegrass fits Sheridan, a birthright of sorts. And hosting bands and people traveling in to enjoy the sounds of the day speaks to the family audience assembling for pure joy.

Near and far--it is our pleasure to serve our multi-state region with the finest sounds of music and a heart full of hospitality. We offer room for kids to run, play and dance, some tall shade trees, open space for lawn chairs and cool drinks to lighten the day. Set aside some time to join us on the hillside, July 11 - 12, 2014.
