| Description: | The 2nd annual Hoosier Artisan Boutique will be held Saturday, November 27th from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds Exhibition Center in Halls B and C in Noblesville, Indiana. The work of 80 Indiana based artists and crafters will be available for sale including: luxurious hand knits and bath and body items, original paintings and illustrations, handbags and accessories, clothing for children and adults, and gourmet edibles and treats. You can expect to find something for everyone on your Holiday gift list. This event is being held to benefit Toys for Tots of Central Indiana and will serve as a collection point during the event. All vendors have generously agreed to donate a new, unwrapped toy for needy area children and ask that those attending donate as well. Admission to the Hoosier Artisan Boutique is free and the entrance to the event is on the north east side of the building. Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, November 24th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM to assist with table setup and booth layout. Additional volunteers are needed Saturday, November 27th between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00PM to help during the event with greeting, assisting vendors during load-in and load out, and clean up. Sign up to volunteer by emailing info@********.***. Last yearâs event was held at the Mansion at Oak Hill in Carmel, Indiana on October 16th, 2009. The inaugural event featured 45 area artists and received such a positive response from both vendors and the community that the event organizer chose to move to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds to allow for additional growth. The 2010 Hoosier Artisan Boutique will be nearly double in size and includes artisans from across Indiana in a variety of mediums. As an artist herself, event organizer Megan Martin intends to create an artist friendly event showcasing the diversity of arts and crafts available from local Indiana artisans. At this time all spaces are full, but plans are beginning for a Spring event to be held in 2011.
